                                                                                SPECIAL MEETING

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Thursday,

November 07, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. at the Township Administration Building located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.

The purpose of the meeting was to interview and hire candidates to the police department.  The news media had been properly notified. 

Chairman Ungaro opened the meeting at 5:30 p.m.

Roll call was taken and present were trustees:  Ungaro, Kempers and Wollet. 

Trustee Wollet led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chairman Ungaro moved to go into executive session at 5:33 p.m. for the purpose of (personnel) motion seconded by Trustees Wollet:  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to exit executive session at 6:15 p.m. and go back into regular session, motion seconded by Trustee Wollet:  Voting yes - Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to hire Poland part-time Officer Joe Patton to full-time status per the police contract, effective full-time date November 17, 2019, motion seconded by Trustee Wollet: Voting yes -  Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to hire Anthony Farkas, Anthony Laberto, Matthew Martinez, Dylan Bell and Nick Argeras as part-time officers as per contract pending medical and background checks, motion seconded Trustee Wollet:  Voting yes - Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to adjourn at 6:18 p.m. motion seconded by Trustee Wollet: Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers.

Meeting adjourned at 6:18 p.m.
