The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a Regular Meeting on October 11, 2017 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland Ohio.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
Mr. Lyons leads in the Pledge of Allegiance.                                                                                                                                                                                                              
Mr. Scharville takes roll call Chairman Lidle - present, Vice Chair Wollet – present, Trustee Ungaro – present.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
Chairman Lidle moves to approve the Minutes dated September 12th 2017, September 13th 2017, September 20th 2017, September 26th 2017, October 2nd 2017 and October 4th 2017. Seconded by Wollet. Roll call vote Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro- Yes. Motion carried.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
Chairman Lidle makes a motion to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the Township. Seconded by Ms. Wollet. Roll call vote Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro- Yes. Motion carried.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
Paul Canter present to give the financial report for August 2017 - Revenue $ 209,654. Expenditures- $450,680. September 2017 – Revenue $747,978. Expenditures $243,198.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
Chairman Lidle motions to approve to allow Toys for Tots to make Poland Township a drop off site for Toys for Tots. Seconded by Ms. Wollet. Roll call Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro- Yes. Motion carried.                                                                                                                                                                                                        
Chairman Lidle announces the Halloween hours for Poland Township are Tuesday, October 31st from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
PARK COMMITTEE:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                
Mr. Filicky present to give the monthly report. Daffodils have been purchased and half have already been planted along the Nature Trail. The Soccer Association has installed four cameras and the cameras will be used to keep an eye on the parking lot. Mike Heher is donating slag and piping for the Wetlands before winter sets in.  Mr. Lidle announces the sled riding hill is almost complete and is one of the biggest sled riding hills in all of Mahoning County and encourages the students to enjoy it.

 Mr. Monus present to give the monthly report.  Total Evaluation for September: $977,205. Total fees collected: $7,224.

Mr. Monus present to give the monthly report.  The road department continues to patch the roads. The new street safety signs are almost all done replacing the old signs. The old signs are to be scrapped along with the poles that have already been scrapped.                                                                                              
Chairman Lidle makes a motion to authorize Jim Scharville to advertise in the newspaper for full and or part time employment for the Road Dept. Seconded by Wollet. Roll call Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro Yes. Motion carried.                                                                                                                                                            
Chairman Lidle motions to have a special meeting on October 16th at 6:00 pm to award the Dobbins Rd sidewalk project. Seconded by Wollet. Roll call vote Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro Yes.

Chief Goodin present to give the monthly statistics for September. Stats: 160 Security calls, 23 Observed calls, 252 Dispatched calls, 48 Traffic warnings, 9 Accidents investigated, 8 Citations, 3 Misdemeanor arrests, 2 Felony arrests.                                                                                                                                                                                          
Chairman Lidle moves to approve to renew the OVI Task Force contract. Seconded by Wollet. Roll call vote- Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro- Yes.                                                                                                                                                              
Chairman Lidle moves to authorize Jim Scharville to advertise in the newspaper job openings for Poland Township Police Department for full time and part time employment. Seconded by Ms. Wollet. Roll call vote- Mr. Lidle - Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro – Yes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
Chairman Lidle introduces Rob Green from Allstate Insurance to introduce their services to the Township employees and families.                                                                                                                                                                                                              
Chairman Lidle motions to authorize MS Consultants to advertise on our behalf for the Canterbury Pipe Project. Seconded by Wollet. Roll

Chairman Lidle motions to authorize Mr. Thomas Madej as our representative to advertise for Poland Township for the Road Department  building roof Project. Seconded by Ms. Wollet. Roll call vote – Mr. Lidle- Yes, Ms. Wollet- Yes and Mr. Ungaro- Yes. Mr. Fred Romeo of 7498 Forest Hill Ave. comes forward to inquire about the road contracts and potholes on his street.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
Mr. Lidle makes a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:38 pm. Seconded by Wollet.
