REGULAR MEETING

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a regular meeting August 14, 2019 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road Poland, Ohio.

Mr. Covell leads the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mr. Scharville does roll call. Ungaro, Kempers and Wollet are present.

Mr. Ungaro motions to approve regular minutes dated July 10, 2019 and July 31, 2019. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes-Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.

Mr. Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the Township. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.

Mr. Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #19-29 nuisance notice. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes- Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.

PARK COMMITTEE:

Mr. Filicky is present to give report.

ZONING DEPARTMENT:

Mr. Scharville is present to give monthly report.

• 2 new structure valued at $946,495; fees- $6,640; 9 additional improvements valued at $94,006;

fees of $670.

• 18 misc. permit-$90; 1 appeals valued at $275, 43 violations; total valuation- $1,040,501 total fees-$7,675, year to date- $4,027,355.

ROAD DEPARTMENT:

Mr. Scharville is present to give monthly report.

POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Chief Goodin is present to give monthly report.

Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the agreement between Poland Township Board of Trustees and Poland School District in the amount of for the Resource Officer:

• $26,780 for school year 2019-2020
• $27,810 for school year 2020-2021
• $28,840 for school year 2021-2022

Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes- Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.

Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the purchase of a new police cruiser from Columbiana Chrysler Jeep Dodge in the amount not to exceed $25,000. Seconded by Wollet. Voting yes- Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.

Mr. Canter was present to give the financial report for year to date through July 31, 2019.

Revenue- $2,629,241 (excludes bond money used for roads.)

                                                 Expenditures- $2,322,630

PUBLIC COMMENT:

Patricia McQuillan 3005 Southwind Trail, asks the board about the details of the financials and where she can find them.

Dr. Dagati 3016 Southwind Trail, spoke that last meeting he spoke about the catch basins and now everything is looking perfect.

Ted Roberts Southwind Trail, thanks his neighbors and board for getting the road fixed.

Mark Covell 2826 Coblentz Drive, wanted to commend the street repaving.

Mr. Ungaro motions to enter into agreement with MS Consultants for admin cost not to exceed $9,840.  Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes- Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.

Mr. Ungaro motions to adjourn regular meeting at 6:51 p.m. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Roll call vote yes- Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers.
