- REGULAR MEETING
The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a regular meeting March 10, 2021 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road Poland, Ohio.
Mr. Ungaro calls the meeting to order.
Mr. Monus leads the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mr. Scharville does roll call. Ungaro, Kempers and Wollet are present.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve the Regular minutes dated February 24, 2021. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes - Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding bills for the Township. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve Resolution 21-11: Annual Budget and Appropriation. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve Resolution 21-12: Nuisance Notice for the following:
- 6899 Poland Center Road
- 6926 Poland Center Road
- 2208 Clyde Street
Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve Resolution 21-13: Junk Vehicle, Ohio revised code 5505.173 a white 2001 Ford E5250 van. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
ADMINISTRATION:
Financial report is not available, Mr. Canter is not present.
Mr. Ungaro motions to approve EverBrite for street sweeping for Poland Township and Poland Village not to exceed $17,000. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
PARK COMMITTEE:
Mr. Flicky is present to give monthly report.
RECYCLING:
Nothing to report.
ZONING DEPARTMENT:
Mr. Robert Monus is present to give monthly report.
Monthly report from January.
- 1 new structure, valuation- $210,950; fees collected-$1,477
- 4 additional improvements, valuation-$93,632; fees collected-$655
- 1-appeals, Miscellaneous-$275; 24 violations for the month; total valuation for the month- $304,582; total fees collected-$2,407
ROAD DEPARTMENT:
Mr. Tommy Monus is not present to give monthly report. Mr. Scharville gives report.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Goodin is present to give monthly report.
Trustees give the approval to advertise to hire part time police officer.
ELECTED OFFICIAL COMMENTS:
Mrs. Wollet - Spoke about possibly unlocking the doors for normal foot traffic.
Mr. Kempers - No comment
Mr. Ungaro - Spoke about the county engineer wanting to put a sales tax on the ballet.
